Mystery Window Gardener
« on: August 08, 2015, 12:02:07 PM »
There was recently a JHBG request to submit a good neighbor award only I have no idea who this person is so I could not submit.

For years whoever lives in the Belvedere East has done a wonderful and whimsical job with their outdoor window garden and I wanted to thank him/her/them for making this 85th street block so enjoyable to walk on.  Whoever you are, your efforts are appreciated by many in the neighborhood  ;D

See attached photos.

Agreed -- gorgeous! I've been hoping to catch sight of the green thumb neighbor at work to express my appreciation. Walking along that block is a real pleasure.

Yes, it's Billy.  He does this every year and it's marvelous!

Nice! I don't get up that high in the 80s very often so I haven't seen those windows before.  My super in Washington Plaza has nice window boxes too (at 74th and 35th, first floor). I love the idea of tons of people in the neighborhood doing something similar if we could get buildings to cooperate and help tenants with the initial installation.
