Delegation of Women from Colombia to Address War and Free Trade Agreement at Two Free Events

3 Colombian women will address labor, human, rights, and the impact of the proposed US-Colombia Free Trade Agreement on the civil war-torn Andean nation at two free events that are open to the general public.

Clara Gomez of the National Labor School; Aura Rodriguez of Corporacion Cactus and defender of the rights of women workers in the flower industry; and Virgelina Charala, an Afro-Colombian rights activist working with internally displaced women will speak in Spanish with English translation provided.

The women will speak on Monday, May 12th at 6 PM at Columbia University’s International Affairs building, at 420 W 118th Street, Room 802, and on Tuesday, May 13th at 7 PM, at the Diversity Center of Queens, 76-11 37th Ave. 2nd floor, Jackson Heights. Queens.
