Nice article I saw this morning. He's still hopeful about relocating. https://www.nytimes.com/2017/01/27/nyregion/jackosn-heights-roosevelt-avenue-latin-jazz-club.html That's the actual link, the typo is original to the Times website.

Such a great hub for people in this neighborhood. I hope they can stay close-by if they relocate. I've always found it a very welcoming place for all nationalities.

Ditto:
https://www.nytimes.com/2017/01/27/nyregion/jackosn-heights-roosevelt-avenue-latin-jazz-club.html?_r=0

As of Jan 27:
"For the moment, at least, the scene at Terraza 7 keeps going. The latest proposal from the new developers was recently rejected by the Buildings Department"

Any updates since this article? They are still listing upcoming concerts.

For once, I'm happy that the city's red tape is slowing down a business - rapacious development business, that is.

I think that space is still listed for sale on Loopnet. I am not sure if that means anything regarding any further rejected proposals by the Buildings Department. http://www.loopnet.com/Listing/20287446/84-02-Roosevelt-Ave-Jackson-Heights-NY/

Does anyone know the current status?  Their website is down, they aren't answering their phone, and their Facebook page doesn't have any shows listed.  I don't often walk over there (unless I'm going to Terraza) so I haven't been by in a bit.  Hoping their still open...

I have a good friend that performs there fairly regularly and is pretty close with Freddie. Apparently, they are going on a month to month basis until some things are resolved with permits and the DOB. From what my friend told me, Freddie is still looking for a new space but isn't optimistic about staying in Jackson Heights. I guess he's been thinking about Harlem and the Bronx because the rent is so much less. Sunset Park is also an option from what I understand.

My husband shows me videos nightly that were shot at Terraza 7. Their FB page is where to find out schedule etc.

The latest from the Jackson Heights Post is that Terraza 7 looks like it's staying—certainly a surprising turn of events. Does not seem 100% certain quite yet though, as the new lease has not been signed; it's just "expected."

I will wait to celebrate but hope this news is confirmed soon.

This is good news not just for Jackson Heights but for all of NYC.

Terraza 7 is simply a special venue for the entire city.

Freddy has confirmed that he will be open for at least another year, and hopefully 5 or more.
