Development plans for Queens West and Flushing
« on: April 22, 2008, 06:47:29 PM »
A recent speech by Queens Borough President Helen Marshall, highlighting current developments in western Queens and Flushing, is the focus of The New York Daily News' Be Our Guest section today.

Topics addressed for western Queens include housing for middle income families, new schools and shops, an expansion of the Silver Cup Studios, a $30 million beautification and traffic improvement project at Queens Plaza and Jackson Avenue, and the arrival of CUNY Law School to name a few.  It appears that the municipal parking lot in Flushing will also be redeveloped to include senior housing, shops and a YMCA.
