Good one Buddy!  I love that song, but Spirit of the Radio is probably my favorite!

Begin the day with a friendly voice, a companion unobtrusive...

By the way, Kashmir is the current ring tone on my cell!

You should check out the show "Freaks and Geeks" on DVD if you haven't already.  They had an episode with one of the characters playing his drums in his basement to Spirit of Radio, fantasizing that he's Neil Peart (Rush drummer) - he had all sorts of strobe lights and even dry ice.

If you grew up in that era (late 70's/early 80's), you'll definitely love Freaks and Geeks!

Thanks for the heads up on that Prester.  I did grow up in that era...and may I add, an amazing era for music!

I found a clip on youtube!

JohnPrester and Chuckster, that was great.  It was too short though.  I had to watch a video of RUSH playing the song just because 80s wasn't my thing.   70s music was more my style.

see if you guys know which band these lyrics come from.  I think this may be too easy.  no cheating and looking online either.  :

Well I'm a human fly
I-I said F-L-Y
I say "buzz buzz buzz"
A-and it's just becuz
I-I'm a human fly
A-and I don't know why
I got 96 tears and 96 eyes

When the twilight is gone,
And no songbirds are singing.
When the twilight is gone,
You come into my heart.

NAME THAT TUNE, the recording artist and the year.

And here in my heart you will stay... while I pray.   MY PRAYER is to linger with you, at the end of the night ...
THE PLATTERS  who I was crazy over.  Have them on my ipod with other oldies.  the year is a tough one cuz I'm never sure what year it is presently.  60s doo wop is what I remembe?

Here's a good one:

She kept her motor clean,
She was the fastest damn woman that I ever seen

This was the lullaby I used to sing to my babies. I heard it first by the McGuire Sisters.

May you always walk in sunshine
Slumber warm when night winds blow
May you always live with laughter
For a smile becomes you so

May good fortune find your doorway
May the bluebird sing your song
May no trouble travel your way
May no worry stay too long

May your heartaches be forgotten
May no tears be spilled
May old acquaintance be remembered
And your cup of kindness filled

And may always be a dreamer
May your wildest dream come true
May you find someone to love
As much as I love you

This won't make me too popular with the women but here is a favorite of mine from Guns and Roses

I used to love her, but I had to kill her
I used to love her, but I had to kill her
I had to put her
Six feet under
And I can still hear her complain

OMG, how great are Simon & Garfunkle's lyrics!!!!  That's a terrific opening song line. It's so poignant I could weep.  Thank u Ernie for that one.

and eddiestjohns, I don't know that G&Roses song. But I don't really know their music.  You're still popular anyway!  Despite your obvious misogamy -  ;D.

n I love lullabys, NYCMac although I don't remember this one.

I'm not completely familiar with Guns and Roses, but two songs that I really like are November Rain and Sweet Child O' Mine.
