Great JH Catering Platters?
« on: March 18, 2011, 08:21:55 AM »
Okay, I have a new challenge for the foodies out there...

We're having a party soon, and I'd like to get a platter of appetizers/finger foods from a local eatery.   Any suggestions?

Here is what I'm looking for:

- Interesting for foodies, but not too challenging for the less adventurous
- Edible without difficulty standing up
- Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options
- Not too unhealthy

We've used Mama's Empanadas several times already, but this time we'd like to find something different.

Thank you in advance for your suggestions!

great idea, foxy

you could do momo from a variety of places, my favorite being the little place on 37th road near the former eagle theater and bhim foods over that way as well. they all do veggie, chicken and beef. throw in some other snacks and you're golden!

you could also do some dosas from tawa foods, which recently added a dosa stand to the front. the man cuts them into six pieces for carryout, and they're finger-food in that mode. be forewarned, tho': my roomie ate some of my chili-onion dosa the other day and said 'that's the hottest thing i've ever had inside my mouth' (!)
