Was there an election at PS 69 today?

peruvian election.

half dozen elections -- international variety -- per year at that polling place.

makes me proud that citizens of SOME country think it's important to vote.

if it were my native country, i'd be thrilled, but US citizens cannot be bothered to do anything as mundane as voting.

Those are great points. For the record, though, every Peruvian citizen must vote or they get fined.

Well, mostly.  After all, there are exemptions and postponements.  But what I mean is that voting is a just asa big (if not bigger, arguably) civic responsibility ...
