It's no Dunkin' I have seen the progress throughout the week and they have installed exhaust systems and grills and the kind of resturant materials that would make part of a Fried Chicken place. My predication from what I have seen ( the bright pink walls and the exhaust systems) is that it will be a Korean Fried Chicken place such as UFO Chicken .

I read on the board over the weekend that it was going to be a Chicken place.  Hope it's open past 9pm...

I read on the board that it was going to be another Dunkin.

So now I know where I get my curiosity from.  My dad just called me to say that he stepped into the "chicken" place.  He's nosy like that.  He asked what type of business was going to open, and was told by one of the contractors that it's going to be an Indian restaurant with a grand opening date of approximately 2 weeks.

I think its supposed to be the Ponce De Leon Bank. Originally they had a sign up that it was to open in January of 2008. Oops. Missed that deadline!

The "Original American Chicken" sign is now up.  Not much we can learn from that, except that they're most likely not a front for Dunkin Donuts.  I'm really curious to find out what type of chicken place this will be.

Speaking of new chicken and burger places, on Northern at 86th Street, El Rancho is gone and a new Peruvian grilled chicken restaurant is renovating and looks to be opening soon.  It's def. better looking inside than the old El Rancho.  Funny though
because the next corner has Pio Pio which is gotta be stiff competition.  Guess there can't be enough chicken in JHS.  :)

Maybe the new chicken place will be a fusion type place.  That would be awesome, albeit not original American...whatever that means.   ???  Southern fried?
