Avela, are you referring to Jackson Heights specifically or New York in general?

Jackson Heights does have an abundant supply of coffee and pastry shops. However, not one has a nice outside area to sit and people watch, whih I feel defines the Parisian cafe experience.

Actually, there IS a charming cafe in Jackson Heights - Espresso 77.  It's the only one, though.

I don't know where you live, but living on 77th Street I pass by it several times a day.  Wonderful place, and perhaps in warmer weather there will be outdoor seating.

However, JH the new Paris?  Keep dreaming.  Not now, not ever.  Not even remotely close.

Nor is JH the new London.

Let's work on it. Outdoor seating for the numerous coffee shops during the warm months would be a start.

Why?  Are the local "youths" now toppling over cars and setting them on fire?

Has Parisian cafe life finally arrived in New York?

When we think of something, we record pictures of that in our minds. The "mental pictures" are very easy to see for yourself.  Close your eyes for a few seconds and think of Paris, you will get an image of the famed French city.
You mind will take several pictures in one second, and will file them which will help sort problems later on.[
Normally, when we remember something, our mind is very fast.  The  information comes to us very quickly from pictures or images previously recorder in the mind.

Drugs and like in my case overmedication, will blur the pictures. They will make the picture dull and cloudy and in this case very confused. Smoking those funny cigarettes and using the nose candy will cause "blank spots" in the mind.

In reality what you are seen is very different

Solution, don'g go to Paris and stay in JH
