There is great live jazz in Jackson Heights, Mondays, Thursdays and Sundays (brunch) at Novo on 37th Ave. between 78th/79th Streets; see blog link, above for details.
Also there is a great Organic Meat butcher a few miles east, in College Point. Also see above blog link, above, for all this and more.
