Trader Joe's coming to LIC?

There hasn't been confirmation from Trader Joe's yet according to the article, but it may be early yet.

Trader Joe’s is Opening in Long Island City, According to Brokers

Trader’s Joes is coming to Long Island City, according to a number of well-placed real estate brokers.

The popular grocery chain, known for its quality products at affordable prices, will be moving into 22-43 Jackson Ave. A lease has been signed and the store is expected to open late 2020.

The grocery store will move into the Prime Building, an 11-story, 70-unit mixed-use building that is currently under construction. The building, designed by SRA Architecture + Engineering and developed by Circle F, will open next year.

Great news! My favorite store

maybe in that new high rise on roosevelt/71st. seems like the sort of amenity the residents would love. none of our current markets could accomodate the TJ footprint.

Trader Joe's coming to LIC is GREAT news.

At least we can get there by subway.

The one in Forest Hills is really a pain to schlep to...so I always go to Manhattan's various Trader Joes.

Same thoughts here. Normally I go to the store in Chelsea. This location will be so much easier.

Yes the FH one is too hard to get to.  Not convinced the LIC one will be easier to get to than the Manhattan ones since I go to those on my way home from work but will be nice to have one available when needed.
