Parking Lot on 82 (btwn 35 & 37)
« on: September 10, 2019, 06:42:05 PM »
Does anyone know what is happening to the lot on 82nd street? I rec'd a letter stating a new management company will be taking over come 10/1/19 but I don't think they will continue to rent to the cars that are currently there.

Does anyone know of any other lots in the area?

Thanks!

What exactly does the letter say and how did you receive it?   Why don't you think they will continue to rent to the cars currently parking there?    I was there last on Sunday and didn't receive notice of anything.

I rent a monthly space with them. They left the letter in my car. The letter mentioned there is new management and it'll start Oct 1st... also that they wished we'd understand... which to me implied they were no longer using it as a active parking garage since they never said "nothing with parking will change" or something along those lines. The letter was very vague.

I spoke to the current manager of the parking lot - he confirmed there is new management (in fact the whole building was sold to them) and parking spots will still be available. However, he also mentioned they weren't sure what will happening with them (the parking attendants) as the new owners haven't told them if they are going to continue employing them or if they will be out of work come 10/1.

I also now fear with new management there will be new pricing - its already kind of expensive to park there...so we shall see.
