AOC isn't doing any constituent services, it would appear.  As of 3 weeks ago, emails were still answered with the same "I'm in the process of getting my office up and running" response that she's had since the day she took office.

On several issues related to foreign policy. I've emailed the person who serves as her Deputy District Director and is supposed to handle Queens, Naureen Akhter.  I've gotten no response. Not even a polite reply. Take it on faith that these were reasonable messages about issues of concern to AOC's constituents.  I do not believe they care about any constituents other than the true believers.

As someone said here... She is an activist, not a representative.

Before you blame her "activism":

How quick was Crowley's office to respond to equivalent requests?

How quick are other congresspeople's offices at responding to "several issues related to foreign policy"?

Stopping into any politicians office is, IMHO, is an ineffective way to express your views. Better to write a letter. I have found the local politicians have been very responsive to letters -- and even phone calls. But if you are just stopping by the voice your opinion I'm not sure what you would expect the response to be. In general, these offices are set up to assist people tackle specific issues, not to walk in and try to turn it into a town hall.

Crowley's District Office always responded. Maybe not right away, but somebody always got back to me.  Not true in this case. I'm rooting for AOC and admire how she's introduced topics into the national conversation that ought to be discussed, like the Green New Deal. But I don't see any signs that her office is able to handle rudimentary constituent services.

I found this to be the case also- quick and surprisingly thorough responses from Crowley's office. I don't know
all of the details about the so-called "Queens Machine" or the machine behind AOC but it seemed to me that
the constituent's concerns were responded to by Crowley's office. Have heard multiple complaints about AOC's
office btw.

You might be blocked by a paywall, but an article from the Washington Post magazine about AOC's Chief of Staff, Saikat Chakrabarti, is revealing and, to me, a little disturbing.  He clearly considers himself the chief of staff of a "movement," not just a Congressional office.  Leaving aside his recent unfortunate tweet accusing moderate Dems of racism,  I don't see any indication that he or AOC see themselves as responsible to the people in their District. The comments here about the lack of constituent services reflect this problem. Are they actually in touch with people in District 14, other than a small core of activists? Do they have a mechanism to hear from ordinary folk who need their help?  I'd be happy for someone to explain that the answer is yes, but it doesn't seem that way...

Beherenow, there is much info circulating about AOC and the Justice Dems on the internet, but not much in the mainstream media such as NYT and WaPo. There is a worldwide effort to further socialism (authoritarian rule) that is currently being documented. The video posted below will just get you started. Since it's release, there have been some corrections to it as well as additions.

Find here my post from March 11th of this year with my comments on the video and other b/g info: http://www.jacksonheightslife.com/community/index.php?topic=18480.msg92440#msg92440

The fact that she appears uninterested in actually running a congressional office has nothing to with the rightwing nonsense in that youtube video.
