Papa’s Kitchen
« on: January 21, 2020, 08:07:25 PM »
Stumbled upon Papa’s Kitchen recently, on 83rd street off of 37th Avenue (next to Sompong Thai).  It’s a “mom and pop” Filipino restaurant - the food was delicious, service was great and the owner, Beth, was lovely.

Wondering if anyone else has given it a try, and if not, would definitely recommend checking it out!

Love Papas Kitchen!  Papa's daughter runs the show now, but the papa still comes by to eat.  They relocated about a year ago from a smaller location in Woodside.

I love the food, too.  And if you visit when the karaoke screens are on, the owner will enthusiastically encourage your participation.

I want to try this place but I am not big on pork and have no idea what is good.  Any suggestions?

There's plenty of chicken on the menu. Goat and beef too. Everything I've had there so far is good (only been three times). I'm less enthusiastic about karaoke during dinner though. But now I know not to go Friday evenings.
