Christian Science church on 35 ave

I grew up in Jackson Heights and I remember the Christian Science church on 35th ave and 86 street. They also had a Christian Science reading room on 37th ave. I was just wondering it was a big church so did Jackson Heights have a very big Christian Science population back in the sixties?

I googled it but there was not much information. Does anyone know?

That building was built as a Christian Science Church back in the 1920s.  I believe the Salvation Army bought it in 1997.
