Got take-out tonight. Very nice people working there. The food is great. The veg platter and meat platter were wonderful. Very filling. They pita bread is really great too.

Just wanted to add my appreciation.  The food is Halal.  Very fresh, great pita, humus, falafel, and the chicken is terrific, as well as the salads.  The owner is very nice, and the prices are reasonable.

got there right after opening today for some carryout -- baba, carrot salad and turkish salad. the very nice counterman offered me a falafel to taste, and it was good enough that i ordered the seven for three dollar add on. everything looked great, and tastes wonderful. looking forward to trying a breakfast shakshouka, which is on the menu.

Took out the vegetarian platter last night. Absolutely delicious. What the neighborhood has needed for a long time. Cross Roosevelt Avenue and check them out. These guys should make it!

I just noticed you can order food/delivery via the Yelp app or site. https://www.yelp.com/menu/zaytoun-jackson-heights-2

Gone?

I don't know. I passed by it Thursday evening around dinnertime and the gates were down, which struck me as odd. I was hoping that they might be on vacation or something. I did really like the place.

It may be closed. I walked by on a Saturday evening. The gate was partly up and it was dark. People were talking inside. This place is/was really good. The owner commented to me once that business was difficult because the food is unique to the area and they do not serve alcohol.

the seamless and grubhub links are dead, and there's no answer on the phone -- they open(ed) at 11 weekdays...sadly, doesn't look good.

It was always empty when I went in there. Part of the problem was the lack of an ethnic base here to support them. The ones who did probably aren't regular visitors to that block. They had really good food so it's indeed a real shame! Middle Eastern food is so healthy and well-priced.
