We have so many fun events lined up for February - please mark your calendars and stop by for some great times with Espresso 77!

WINE NIGHT at Espresso 77
Tuesday, February 13
Wine Experts Junko Yamada and Gary Hulton will share some delicious French wines and discuss the art of pairing wine with food.
Program will include 6 wines plus sweet and savory snacks plus sparkling conversation!
Tickets are $30 per person - save $5 per ticket if you buy online before February 10 at the Espresso 77 online shop.

Wednesday, February 21: 111 Places in Queens That You Must Not Miss
Renowned Queens food expert Joe DiStefano will be on hand to present his new book about the wonders of our fair borough.  Jackson Heights is definitely on the list, and we'll have some tasty food and drink representing some of our neighborhood's amazing offerings.

Wednesday, February 28: The German-Jewish Cookbook
Jackson Heights' own Sonya Gropman will be here with her mother Gabrielle Rossmer Gropman for the neighborhood premiere of their fabulous book, The German-Jewish Cookbook, a fascinating collection of delicious recipes, history, and personal anecdotes.
“With a preservationist zeal and a modern day appetite, Sonya and Gaby pay a long-overdue tribute to the fascinating German-Jewish culinary traditions. Through charming stories and mouthwatering recipes they bring that almost-vanished gastronomic culture to life—and the results are delectable.”—Anya von Bremzen

Tuesday, February 6: Sasha Kamini Parmasad
Open mic sign up: Starts at 6:30
Open mic reading: Begins at 7pm (3 minute limit per reader)
Featured reader: Begins between 7:45 and 8pm

Sasha Parmasad, educator, visual artist, and award-winning writer, is the daughter of a Trinidadian historian-poet-songwriter and a lawyer who devoted many years of their lives to the struggle for social justice. Her novel, Ink and Sugar, placed third in the national First Words Literary Contest for South Asian American Writers (2003) and her poetry placed first in the annual Poetry International Competition (2008). Her collection of poems titled No Poem: A Divine Rising was published in 2015.
