Waldbaum's now Key Food
« on: November 14, 2015, 06:46:44 AM »
Was in Waldbaum's yesterday and the employees were very busy restocking all the shelves.
I was told that Waldbaum's will reopen as Key Food on Tuesday.  The store will be closed this Monday.

Going one better than Food Dynasty?

I was at ex-Waldbaum a couple of weeks ago and noticed a heavy preponderance of Key Food items on the shelves where they used to have a brand called America's Choice.

Looks like Food Universe is just another one of Key Foods' many supermarket names.

Quote
Key Food comprises 165 independently owned and operated grocery stores under the Key Food Marketplace, Key Fresh & Natural, Food Dynasty, Food Universe, Food World, Holiday Farms, Locust Valley, and Milford Farms brands in all five New York City boroughs, Long Island, upstate New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Forget about Met Food, Key Food, Food Dynasty, Mia Tierra, Waldbaums, and all the others. Food Bazzar on Northern and 42nd, is, in my opinion the best that Queens has to offer. They offer 5% off with your NYC ID card, as well as the usual club savings. You do need a car to get there, but, since I go so often, I'd be happy to transport any carless neighbors

Never been to Food Bazaar but will definitely visit. Is this 5% every day deal?
