I noticed they were opening another spot on Austin street where Garcia's was. I think they will do very well there.

Another food revival for me this weekend.  I continue to look for oldies but goodies in the neighborhood and thought of El Coyote.  Last night I took the plunge.   I have to say that despite the blaring music, the atmosphere and service were pleasant and  the food  excellent.  While I'm certainly no expert in Mexican food, I thought everything was quite tasty and freshly prepared, especially the sangria.  Most of the Mexican food I've tried in the hood has a tendency to be very heavy and dense (aka "carb overload").  The food here appears to be much lighter, although I certainly did not walk away hungry. A very satisfied customer!

Yes, we have had the same experience. And it's great for larger groups and those nights
where you might need more than one drink!
