I just got this email from Ebay announcing a new local free classifieds site http://newyork.kijiji.com/

I checked it out for a few minutes and it looks good a first glance.  Does it have a chance against craigslist?
Actually, I thought Ebay owned a fairly hefty share of craigslist.  If that's the case, I wonder why they are competing.

Has anyone else had a chance to check it out?

This is a big fight.  Should be very interesting to watch.

No matter what, I'd say Craig is the "good guy."   I have nothing but admiration for him.  I don't think kijiji poses a threat to what he's trying to do, but the EBay lawsuit might.
