Hey all,

Just a reminder about the Queens Roller Race this Tuesday, March 11th at 7pm.  We did a little practice session this weekend, and riding and balancing a free standing bike on top of rollers is well.. an experience that should make for interesting entertainment to say the least.  Let's add Wiley Norvell to the amateurs riders list to spice things up a little more as well.

Plus, we've got great auction items including:

* A HYmini (http://hymini.com/) which is a solar and wind powered device that comes with a bike mount that can charge up your  cell phone or ipod while riding around town
* Cyclist apparel and accessories
* A SOLAR backpack
* Gift certificates to the Creek and the Cave and Tuk Tuk
* Bike lessons (in case you never learned.. I know you are out there)
* A $100 gift certificate for VHS to DVD conversion which may be yours for less
* Designer apparel, including Ed Hardy, Polo and Ralph Lauren
* Original framed artwork by Tour de Queens logo designer and Queens artist Kelly Mola and Helen Ho
and more!

Come on out- it's fun, environmental, and you get to have a cheap drink, hoot, and holler all at the same time.

It's the moment you've been waiting for. It's the event of the season. It's the QUEENS ROLLER RACE.

Yes, that's right on the evening of Tues, March 11th at 7:00pm the showdown will happen at the Creek and the Cave in LIC. Come and have a raucous good time while supporting the Tour de Queens. See sanctioned racers on the famous BikeWorks Barelli Competition Rollers—Watch spills and 200rpm sprints, an amateur throw down, and bid on enticing auction items.

For those of you already involved in NYC transportation work, there'll be a who's who roster in the amateur throwdown including the likes of Paul Steely White from TA; Jon Orcutt from DOT; Dani Simons, formerly TA and currently DOT.  Our very own Karen Overton and Emilia Crotty from the TA Queens Committee are also racing with others, and who knows if you are lucky Mike Heffron and Helen Ho might compete in a race of the slow.

I mean, what else do you need really? A beer? We got a discount on that too. Just for you.

Please help us spread the word! Forward this to your friends and networks, if you got 'em. Also if you have auction items (or know people who do) give us a call!
