The Bryant boys' basketball team sat together in the front pews of Saint Mark A.M.E. Church in Queens Monday, some sobbing, some silent, but all somber while honoring the memory of Adrian Simpson, their teammate who died on Feb.21 of apparent heart failure while playing pick-up basketball.

Simpson, a 17-year-old junior from Jackson Heights, was remembered for his easy smile and sense of humor during a two-hour memorial service attended by more than 200 classmates, friends and family.

"He always made you laugh," said Bryant freshman Jeffrey Pierre-Louis. "He was just fun to be around."
