Monserrate still has a lot of friends in the district, as hard as it is for me to imagine.  Moya is still an unknown, and doesn't seem particularly hungry for the office.  If Moya keeps up his current level of engagement, Monserrate may be the one with an easy path to victory.

I really don't think Monserrate has that many friends.

But it is true, Moya needs to step up his game, and hit the streets to GOTV.

Moya's campaign says he has the “Moya-mentum” right now.

Here are links to two videos on the endorsement of Francisco Moya in the assembly seat race.

It looks like there may be a campaign office set up for Franciso Moya on 37th Avenue, between 78th & 79th Streets (approx.)  It's a smaller storefront formerly occupied by a clothing store called D'lishus.  I'm assuming it's a campaign office because the windows are covered in Moya flyers.

This American Life did a show this past week called "Social Contract." The whole first half is about the dysfunction with the NY state government in Albany. I just listened to the podcast and it's very interesting. Here's the link...

The New York Times ran a story yesterday on how Hiram Monserrate has filed nominating petitions to be placed on the ballot for the Democratic primary in September.  He wants the Assembly seat.

Just saw Moya's website - looks good.  www.moyaforassembly.com
I met him at the subway the other day. He seems smart and passionate. Anything is better than voting for Hiram.

Just heard Christine Quinn and Danny Dromm are doing an event for Francisco Moya tomorrow at Friend's Tavern, 6-8pm.  Looks like his support is growing....

I went to the Moya event last night at Friend's and it was a good time.  I met Francisco and he seemed very down to Earth.

I have to say, I'm not really into local politics all that much but after hearing that Monserrate assaulted his girlfriend last year, I have absolutely no desire to have him represent me in Albany.

Last night's Moya fundraiser had a nice mix of people from all backgrounds.  Moya also made an unequivocal statement re his support for marriage equality.

Yet another reminder of why Hiram Monserrate is so icky--

Yeah, I'm happy about his stance on gay marriage, too.  Although I'm not gay, I have some friends that are gay and lesbian and I think it really amazing how people feel they need to protect "family values" by preventing equal rights.

I mean, seriously, we're in the 21st century already.

Interesting article from The Queens Courier stating that Francisco Moya has no opponent in the upcoming election for the 39th District Assembly seat.
