From the photos you posted, they appear to be Starlings.  Starlings are kind of a mottled brown/black and smaller than crows.

hi madalyn,,thanck you for telling me what kind of birds ares those...now i know,,i thing they are so cute,and i love the noise they make ,i have a beautiful and big tree out my windows every morning i see and hear them especialy now the weather is getting nice ...here are some more from tues march 24 2009

Starlings sometimes make a sound that is exactly like the whistle guys make when a pretty girl passes by.  They have a lot of different sounds.

In the Midwest and West, where there are lots of farms, they are considered a "nuisance" and are often killed because they fly in large groups at certain times of the year and they can eat lots of grain, etc.

If you like birds, you should get yourself a bird-identifying book.  My favorite is not one of the most popular - it's a Golden Book called (I think) "Birds of North America".  I have had it for years.  We had many Golden Books when we were kids and they're very informative for people all ages, I think.
