Abandoned cat
« on: June 13, 2014, 10:55:23 AM »
Please help this cat needs a home he was abandoned in an apartment in Jackson Heights, the super of the building is lettting my friend and I keep him in a cage in the basement for a little while. He is a neutered male very mellow and friendly. He is in the cage 23 hours a day and only let out when my friend and I go to feed him which is only once a day because we both work. If you have any leads for a home or a shelter please contact me. I have more photos.

This is horrible. Thanks for helping this little guy. People are truly sick!! Try Bobby and the strays. They have a Long Island and a Queens (Glendale) location. This is kitten season and I am helping several people rehome kittens so they might not be taking any more but be persistent and tell them how sweet this cat is and he has to live in a cage etc.:
 They are NO KILL.

If that's full you can also try Brooklyn Animal Rescue Coalition (http://barcshelter.org/) --also no kill. They're a great group of people too.

I don't understand how people can be so cruel. Kudos to you and your friend for helping him out.

Any update on the cat??  Did you find a home for him?  Do you have any idea how old he is?
