Title: Quick question - Tofu
Post by: Samrichy on November 04, 2019, 12:31:18 PM
Very quick question:
Where on or shortly off 37th do you buy your tofu? Haven't immediately seen a place to purchase.

Thanks!

the large Asian market on 75th and Broadway has a very wide selection. it was called Pacific, but i forget what the new name is. one entrance is literally ten feet from subway exit.

Hi, the H Mart Korean grocery store on 59th Street and Woodside Avenue makes homemade tofu.

Almost every grocery store has tofu in water. Foodtown has flavored tofu (teriyaki, garlic etc),

Downtown Natural Market carries Tofu from what I’ve seen.

I've bought tofu at Food Dynasty, Foodtown, Lemon Farm, Downtown Natural Market, Pacific Market...

Maybe even Growing Farm and Kim's Brother...

I second the H-Mart on Woodside. The tofu is so fresh that it's still warm, though it only comes in large containers. I'm assuming that's the tofu-making contraption next to it. (Apologies for tofu-making ignorance.) This H-Mart is small and old school, with tiny aisles, and has lots of ready-to-go Korean food.

I get tofu from Growing Farm on 37th and 77th. I've seen fresh tofu there as well. :o :o

I buy tofu at Pacific, the Asian market on 75th and Broadway, right across from the subway. They have a large selection.
