Interesting...seems like we might be in store for a mini-boom of residential construction outside the historic district.

Great news! That current building is a complete mess. Wonderful to get more housing units added.

I agree the building is an eyesore. But I hope unique local businesses like Mohan's Tattoo and the Arepa Lady are able to find alternative locations in the neighborhood. Affordable commercial spaces can be difficult to find here.

i'm sure there'll be a huge market for luxury apartments on roosevelt avenue with 24 hour subway noise 15-18 feet away from apartment windows.

There's the new building on 81st near Roosevelt. They had a couple of open houses but no one came. There's the apartments/coops above the new Downtown market.

and i have no idea about the actual occupancy, but that building that was erected on 37th road at 75th doesn't look too full, either.
