Old Maps

I came across a fascinating website called Hypercities, which takes vintage maps and overlays them, to scale, on top of Google maps.  You can then change the transparency of the historic maps or examine how the maps change over time.

I've taken some screen shots of maps showing Jackson Heights:

Wow!  These are great.  I love the lake/wetlands straddling what is now Northern Boulevard.  Nice job Todd.
