At this stage, we need to be grateful if any establishments survive the seemingly endless COVID 19 restrictions.

Corporate or not.

In a move as if to puposefully annoy the anti-corporates ...

The new development on 82nd St now has a STARBUCKS next to the Target which will adjoin Chipotle.

I'll be the first in line to order my almond milk latte

On Target's website, there are two categories for upcoming store openings -- 2020 store openings, and future store openings. The JH Target is listed under future store openings, so that implies it won't be opening til January or after.

Now that the Target has been opened for a while, I see zero signs of any effect on the neighborhood's mom and pop stores.
Despite the previous predictions of "doom and gloom" on this thread.

It appears to have simply added to the choices available for where folks spend their $'s.

Besides that, another brand new Target type store (Dollar City) has just opened on Roosevelt Ave in competition with Target.

There seems to be an endless demand for inexpensive "stuff" in Jackson Heights ...what with the current expansion of D11 on Roosevelt as well. (Plus there's the online shopping revolution too)

This statement makes me question whether you have actually shopped in either store. The marketing staff at Target has failed miserably if you think they're equivalent.

Lol. They sell pretty much the same stuff. The rest is packaging.
